For Type I diabetes, insulin injections are shown to be the most effective strategy for maintaining healthy glucose levels, while diet and physical exercise offer benefits but do not fully address the underlying issue of insulin production impairment. For Type II diabetes, insulin injections and physical exercise improve glucose control, although insulin injections may be less critical due to the pancreas's ability to produce insulin. The study underscores that impairments in insulin-dependent tissue utilization pathways have the most profound impact on glucose concentrations, highlighting the importance of effective insulin utilization in diabetes management.
