In this project, we designed a cruise control system for a car using a PI controller and the root locus method. The goal was to ensure the system met specific performance criteria, such as tracking a reference speed despite disturbances, ensuring BIBO stability, and achieving a fast settling time with minimal control voltage.

By leveraging MATLAB for root locus analysis, we fine-tuned the controller parameters and implemented the control system in Simulink. Our design was validated through simulations, which confirmed the system's stability and performance under various conditions, providing a robust solution for automotive cruise control.
