In this project, we explored the design and testing of audio power amplifiers, focusing on the balance between efficiency and linearity, crucial for high-fidelity sound systems. We began by simulating both Class-A and Class-B output stages, using CMOS power transistors, and analyzing their performance characteristics, including power consumption and output spectra.

Following simulations, we built both output stages, incorporating a differential pair and employing feedback to enhance linearity in the Class-B amplifier. The practical setup involved testing with an 8-Ω speaker and a sound waveform input, allowing us to observe the real-world sound quality and validate our design against theoretical expectations.
